Job Summary:

The Department of Internal Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Primary Care Physician / Clinical Assistant Professor (HS). The successful candidate will:

  • As an Academic Internist, assist the Division of Internal Medicine within the Department of Medicine with its clinical and academic initiatives. 
  • Demonstrate responsibility for the diagnostic and primary clinical care of patients in the Department of Medicine UHD Clinics. 
  • Teach house-staff, students, and fellows in General Internal Medicine.
  • Be provided the opportunity to participate in the faculty private practice (University Physicians of Brooklyn - UPB).

Required Qualifications:

  • MD Degree.
  • New York State Medical Doctor/Physician Licensure.
  • Residency in Internal Medicine.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research.
